I hope all of that made sense.Īnyway, Thanks everyone for your help. It seems like there would be a way for them to automatically locate the proper sub folder provided the structure was the same, but I couldn't find one. That's the part I'm not sure if there is a better way to do it. What I've done in the past (as near as I can reconstruct) has been to use 'Pack and Go,' changing all of the file names appropriately with Search/Replace and saving them to some new folder in hopes of. In order to get the new job files in the sub folders I had to manually select each file's "Save to folder" path and change that to where I needed it to go. I'm still running Solidworks Premium 2017 SP05, with the static-simulation capability, in a single-computer configuration - no PDM here. This changed ALL of the files' paths to the new assemblies folder (which is not what I want). Once I had all my files to copy selected I picked the "Save to folder" option and set this to my new assemblies folder.

In the file locations box, I had to manual add each sub-folder path I was copying. I did all of the suggestions above, P&G from the assembly drawing, had my search paths set etc. I don't know if I've done it the most efficient way so if someone can correct me, that's great but this is what I did. If all this fails wait until the second Monday of a full moon, stand in perfect alignment of the planets at 8:00am sharp and try all of the above while signing the check that pays for your subscription. You have to check that box before you do anything else. I have had problems doing other things in the dialog and then checking the drawings box and it not working.

I do it on a daily basis and it works fine with the defined paths.ĭo you have the "show all levels of reference" option checked in SW explorer (same place you define the search paths, on the where used tab)Īlso, when the pack n go dialog opens the first thing you should do is check the "including drawings" box. Not sure why you are having so many issues with this. How do we fix this?īrowse using Windows Explorer to find the SOLIDWORKS Executable file (SLDWORKS.exe).Anna is saying to use the assembly drawing for the pack n go, not the assembly itself. To resolve this issue and bring SOLIDWORKS back into the waking world, follow the steps below. However, this can lead to blurry text and other oddities in applications that do not work well with the global scaling settings. To enlarge textĪnd other UI elements, DPI scaling is usually set globally in the Display settings found in the Windows Control Panel. Often, users will want to make adjustments to those settings to fit their desired layout.

If you’re running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, in combination with a 4k external display, the OS will attempt to automatically choose an appropriate scaling setting for the display. Most likely, you are suffering from mishandled DPI Scaling settings.įigure 1: Screen Duplication Example What is happening?
